Cloud Engineer with a focus on VMware and Linux

Your tasks

  • You are responsible for the virtualization platform(s) together with your team
  • You develop and implement advanced virtualization solutions based on VMware
  • You design and realize innovative Linux-based virtualization architectures as well as container and virtualization solutions, e.g. Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes
  • You identify and solve challenges in the field of virtualization technologies
  • You ensure the performance, availability and security of virtualization platforms
  • You proactively advise the internal teams on VMware and Linux virtualization
  • You consolidate legacy systems on new platforms
  • You assist 3rd level support in finding the right solutions

Your profile

  • You have a degree in computer science or a completed training as a computer scientist for system integration
  • Excellent knowledge of VMware Technologies
  • You are familiar with virtualization systems (OpenStack, Proxmox, KVM, etc.)
  • You have in-depth knowledge of Linux OS (CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, Alma, etc.)
  • You have experience in the field of DevOps (scripting and coding)
  • You have experience in automation (puppet, ansible, chef, etc.)
  • You have sound knowledge of network architecture
  • You have project experience in migration topics
  • You work independently, systematically and result-oriented with high resilience
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
