group.one is looking for a UI designer to join the UX and design team in our Copenhagen office.

The Role

Our team is on a mission to design great user experiences that help our 2 million web customers in creating, configuring, and developing their web presence.

We are looking for an experienced UI designer to work alongside the product manager to translate user needs and business ideas into excellent concepts, experiments, and implementable designs for our e-commerce solution and other offerings.

You are a passionate human being who loves turning complex concepts and technical structures into beautiful, simple, and user-friendly experiences. You are a real team player, working closely together with the product team, the UX and design team, and engineering teams in Copenhagen and abroad.

You know what it takes to build an application and not only own your part of this journey but can give valuable feedback throughout the process. You will become a crucial point of contact for everything product design related.

Together with your team and stakeholders, you ensure consistency and efficiency in the field of UX Design, UI Design and Front-End Design.

As a UI designer at group.one you report to the UI Team Lead. You will become a major point of contact for our online shop application as well as assisting with visual marketing designs for our major brand, one.com.

You will be part of a group of 17 supportive designers that are passionate about what they do and who with the aid of workshops, team meetings and ad hoc feedback sessions motivate each other to develop and grow.

 

Qualifications

  • You have 5+ years of experience designing for consumer-focused product companies.
  • You have a solid and diverse (mobile) design track record and have the portfolio to prove it.
  • You have a degree in UX design, UI design, visual design, or another relevant study
  • You have a great eye for stunning designs and can work within product constraints
  • You can collaborate closely with design, development, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of your designs, fostering a unified and consistent user experience
  • You are driven, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • You love solving complex problems, and you are an excellent communicator that excels at driving a human-centred cultural identity that people are drawn to
  • You are eager to stay updated with design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure your designs remain up to date and relevant
  • You have experience working in Agile / Scrum development
  • You have excellent English skills – spoken as well as written
  • You have had hands-on experience and advanced knowledge of Figma

 

Additional Skills

  • You might have a basic proficiency in coding languages (HTML, CSS, etc.) to facilitate effective communication and collaboration with development teams
  • You might have strong analytical skills to identify design challenges, propose innovative solutions, and make data-informed design decisions
  • You might be resourcefulness in addressing design-related complexities and finding elegant solutions
  • You might have experience in building design systems
  • You enjoy the minimalist functional aesthetics of Nordic Design and are keen to put your Design Vision to make the web more beautiful
  • You might have experience creating marketing visuals
  • You might have previous experience working on e-commerce platforms
